Regarding Premium Mare Inspection and AGM minutes and elected directors
Dear Members,
I have spoken to Danny Welch, CBHS Breed Committee chair, about the upcoming Premium Mare inspection.  Danny feels that the position of the CBHS is that they would support North America instituting the Premium Mare program.  It would involve the same qualifications as those Premium Mares and Stallions in the UK.  There has been in inquiry to have a mare inspection for this program and Hunter Wilson will host an inspection at his farm.  Danny and I also discussed the paucity of North American inspectors that are currently active in the CBHSNA.  We both feel that we need to increase our inspector pool.  He suggested starting off with two or three people who would be interested in becoming inspectors.  This inspection would be an ideal place for an inspector to start the training process if there is time..  We both agree that ideally one would want to have a broad knowledge of horse conformation and not be limited to just knowledge of the Cleveland Bay breed. BJ has resigned as Breed Committee chair.    If anyone is interested in having their mare or stallion inspected please let me know.  If anyone is interested in becoming an inspector, please send me your CV/resume including your contact information as soon as possible.  This is a great opportunity as we will have Liz Worthy, a UK inspector, here for the inspection.
On another note, we had a very successful AGM.  Preliminary minutes will be sent to Jane for publication in the next edition of BayWatch.  The three elected directors are Merry Fowler, Tracie Traver, and  Jean Schanberger.   Congratulations to Merry and  Jean and thank you for your vote of confidence.
Sincerely,
Tracie A. Traver, acting as President
